Looks like the team behind the works has enough experience, everything is done with care and organized but most of the colision could use better checking (one of the lamps has colision outside the lamp for example).

Really love the assets. Not that bad on performance either.
Scans Factory – always a safe bet! & Works on MAC
If you want photorealistic environments and props which you can use for photography or film-making purposes, you are always getting what you need if you purchase a product from Scans Factory.
The same goes for game-makers or world-builders. You get the maximum of realism with the minimum load on your engine which would be required to bring about said realism.
I have tried already most of the environments Scans Factory has brought to the market so far. There’s not a single one among them which I would hesitate to fully recommend.
And by the way … Scans Factory’s environments also work just as fine on a Mac.

I need your help! I put the Horror Engine asset on the map and I started having problems, while moving around the map there is a defocus in the middle of the trail. I’m returning everything to your settings normally. And the second problem is, I can’t completely remove the lighting from the map to adjust my own, where can I make the settings of total darkness?

- I’m not sure what you see as a defocus. Please write to support@scansfactory.com or on our discord channel. Best with screens.
- We made separate sublevels for lighting. You can control it as you wish and of course you can delete it and start from scratch. With completely dark remember about postproces exposure settings, skylight refreshing and skybox itself :)

Products Are Labeled “Unavailable”
Hello! I have purchased a few of your environment packs as they are really good. However, I cannot add them to my project because the download button is not clickable and says unavailable. After looking up this issue, I have tried restarting the launcher and forcing the launcher to open from the browser version of the UE Marketplace. Neither of these have worked. Is there anything else you recommend I try?

I am using 5.1 so it should be good.
UPDATE: So it fixed itself once, but today after checking it, it is unavailable again. Very strange. I haven’t addeded all of these packs to my project yet as I’m preparing for Hurricane Helene. Either way, thanks for your help!

Could you please let us know which version of Unreal Engine you’re using and the version of your project? Our [SCANS] Cemetery – Forgotten Churchyard pack supports engine versions 5.1 to 5.4. If your project is in a different version, that might be why the download button is unavailable.

I’m new to the world of UE, and just wanted to clarify that if this pack is purchased, the demo level can be used for commercial purposes (i.e a music video)? I plan on doing some minor modifications, but I want to make sure this would be ok :)

Sure you can use it that way. About video, have in mind that music itself(from youtube flythrough), you need to purchase it separate. And of course, if your work will be VERY similar to what we did – you should credit our work for your audience.

Lighting Rebuild
Hi There,
I’m having an issue where it’s saying the lighting needs to be rebuild for the Daytime, I go to do this and I get an error message along the lines of, I’m using the wrong lighting model.
I’ve checked out the documentation and I couldn’t find the section on “Lighting scenarios” that the other user was advised to do; I’ve also copied the .ini files that you guys used aswell.
The lighting is fine in the viewport, but breaks when playing; I’m on 5.2.1, thanks!

Depends on project settings you have. If you are using Lumen default settings – there should be no warnings like that. And If you are using static lighting by default that as it is with that feature – you should rebuild lighting for every lighting scenario separate. If any problems, let us know at support@scansfactory.com or on our discord channel.

Please check the documentation – there should be a part about lighting scenarios. Generally, we use them and loaded in level Persistence. You can unplug them or use your own.

I believe the content could easily work with games. Especially if you don’t need nanite+lumen. Assets should work easily with a standard lighting pipeline because Epic still demands from us that we need to prepare lightmaps on submission. Of course, there will be some work to do but I strongly believe it’s possible :)

There will definitely be an update 1. In the case of update 2, unfortunately, we didn’t manage to do it and we assume that there may not be too many people willing to do so. But since we were very close, we still want to prepare a surprise connected with the proposal of Update 3 ;)

I purchased this asset from the epic store, but I’m being prompted to agree to a term that I cannot distrubute or use this asset commercially?

Hi, there is some misunderstanding – the license widget applies only to the free demo, and it is unnecessary to stay in the project. It will be removed in the next update because, as you can see, it can be confusing.
Of course, you can fully use our level as you like after buying. This is to prevent someone from just having this free demo (without purchase) and claiming they did it themselves. You can remove or edit the widget itself from the demo etc. when purchasing the product :) Instructions are in the documentation :)
And of course, if someone uses our demo map (without purchasing the project) as is and tells other people that this is work they did by 100%… it wouldn’t be fair. Not really for us, but for any investors, gamers, or other companies. We saw such actions in the past and simply speaking we don’t support such, so we prepare and add license widgets to our demos.
We will try to explain it better in the future. Sorry if it wasn’t so clear :) I hope now it clarifies enough! :)

Not this time, unfortunately. The original concept was created last year in 4.27. But… since there was an overwhelming request for UE5 and its new features we changed it this year. We waited as much as we could doing both versions… but finally, we decided to move on. We can’t afford to make two soo separate versions at the same time. Only focusing on one version can give us enough space to make outsounding content for you.
We understand that people and Unreal creators want to have new technology right away. Pretty exciting time to be honest. I believe we are before some kind of new era for content creation.
Packages after that we already started directly with Unreal 5.1. We hope with every package we will bring new phenomenal scenes to life! ;)

P.S. Personally I love UE4 and it’s a wise setup! That’s why we offered a second update tier as performance-friendly! ;) It should help some people to jump into UE5 with their projects easier.
